Enterprise 2.0 in Belgium: what’s after the hype?

Participate to our 2010 survey about Enterprise 2.0 in Belgium.
Enterprise 2.0 has generated tons of books, articles, white papers, blog posts, tweets and other seminars all around the globe since a couple of years now, and it’s time to look back into the rear-view mirror and see what has actually changed and how have organisations welcomed and apprehended those new paradigms and Web 2.0 tools.
Indeed, it seems that, despite a few success stories down here in Belgium, those who talk the most about Enterprise 2.0 are Enterprise 2.0 consultants themselves and other specialised agencies (like us, that’s true). Now that the hype is declining (and the term Enterprise 2.0 being progressively substituted with more pragmatic words), what’s left?
At Early Stage, we have formulated the wish to understand why it did not explode like expected. We have a bunch of intuitive answers, of course, but we wanted to give the word to the ones who finally are the first concerned: organisations themselves.
The objectives of this survey are:
- Sketch out a mapping of Enterprise Collaboration Software adoption in Belgium (we limit respondents to companies having headquarters or major offices in our country).
- Surface the organisations’ responsiveness to Enterprise 2.0 concepts and tools, by averaging some core organisational components (structure, hierarchy, culture, distance, technology).
- Identify the main types of tools that would be likely to correspond to the average profile Belgian organisations.
- Identify the overall intentions of Belgian companies to step into the world of Enterprise Collaboration Software (budgets and timeframes).
- Have a rough view of the software market awareness within the Belgian companies.
Results will be compiled and commented in a few weeks after the survey closing.
